I’m a video production specialist born in Buffalo, New York and currently based in Hamilton, Ontario. I came to Canada in 2018 for college, and stayed for the amazing film opportunities. My dream career has changed a lot over the years - I wanted to be an artist, an animator, a video editor, a production designer - but creativity has always been a part of that dream.
In 2022, I graduated from Sheridan College with a Bachelor’s degree in Film and Television. When I first started, I dreamed of working as an editor and visual effects artist. But learning from home for two years made me realise I needed to be in the heart of the action on set. I pivoted to production design in my final year at Sheridan and fell in love with the art department. However, I tried not to limit myself when working on projects. I've taken on roles as an animator, transmedia producer, boom operator, data management technician, assistant editor, production designer, set decorator, motion graphics artist, the list goes on!
During my time at Sheridan, I worked various jobs that helped educate others about video production. From 2018 - 2019 I worked at the Lockport Community TV Station as a Summer Camp Counselor, where I taught teens about broadcast and video production. And during my final year at Sheridan, I was a Department Assistant for the film department, which meant assisting students and professors during classes. My favourite part of these positions was being able to help others achieve their creative ideas.
Nowadays, I take on projects and contact work in a variety of settings. While I still join in on film and television productions, I also create content for companies like McMaster University and Evermoon Media. My lived experiences as a queer, trans man mean I'm always looking forward to working on projects that highlight stories from underrepresented communities. I pride myself on having a diverse skill set that can be applied to a wide variety of professions. Creating content for companies, film productions, or social media means I’m always trying new things!
